Saturday Style by Anita – shirts
Hello!
I am so delighted to bring you my second instalment of ‘Saturday Style by Anita’.
I feel there is not enough guidance out there for the different dominant colour groupings. So, whether you are a deep, light, warm, cool, clear, soft, spring, summer, autumn or winter, this week I’ve picked shirts for work, rest or play which will flatter all colour groups and help you transition into autumn.
Each week I will research different brands to show you the colours which will make you feel and look your best. I’m going to trial this for 4 weeks and see how it’s received. If you have any feedback, please do let me know.
If you’re not sure about your colouring, why not book a zoom colour consultation or a one to one at my studio?
How to style?
Shirts are so versatile and the perfect layering piece. Here are my top styling tips:
- Wear with trousers of your choice: slim-leg joggers, chinos, corduroys, jeans, smarter trousers. Unless I’m deliberately wearing tonal colours head-to-toe, a bit of contrast in colour with your top half works well. Also, a little French tuck into your waistband will give you a bit more shape.
- Layer with these fabulous (I swear by them!) Heattech tops in short and long sleeves. There are so many different necklines to choose from for extra toastiness, all available in your best neutrals. I have the turtle, crew and scooped neck ones. Buy now.
- Add a plain or patterned scarf in one of your best colours, ideally in a natural fibre and with some shine. Tie and tuck under your collar for a bit of colour pizazz near your face.
- How about layering with a knitted vest? These are here to stay, and if you only buy one this season, make it this one, which will look great with loads of shirts and over dresses, too. As a universal colour, navy looks great on everyone. Buy now.
Psst … don’t forget to book your place on my new season trends workshop next month, it’s going to be a real corker!
