PETERSHAM NURSERIES, RICHMOND UPON THAMES

If you are in Richmond, I highly recommend visiting Petersham Nurseries @petershamnurseries. It’s about a 15-minute walk along the River Thames. It’s beautiful throughout the year. I took my in-laws, and they loved it as they enjoy gardening and a cuppa with cake! That’s my cheeky 87-year-old father-in-law at the end – bless him 🥰🥰. Watch video here

There’s a nursery; I love the seasonal plants, flowers and bulbs and come away feeling inspired to tidy up our garden. The teahouse offers refreshments, cakes and light lunches that won’t break the bank. The shop is visual merchandising heaven, but the shabby chic wares are expensive, and I tend to buy candles and little knick-knacks as pressies. The restaurant is beautiful but pricey. I’ve not eaten there but have been told (on good authority) that the menu is delicious. Do wrap up w, arm though; there’s lots of glazing, and the restaurant and teahouse can be nippy.

Accessible by 371 or 65 bus from Richmond Mainline station.
